Brandon Jennings Says Kobe Bryant Is ‘Greatest Ever’
[new_royalslider id=”298″]

Brandon Jennings is a fan of Kobe Bryant — a big fan at that. The veteran point guard has had no problem expressing his admiration for the five-time NBA champion over the past few years and now he’s given the biggest compliment of all.

Jennings took to Twitter while watching old footage of Michael Jordan. The California native claims that Jordan had “a lot of help” winning his rings in comparison to Kobe:

Jennings went on to reel off some names of key players surrounding Jordan during his run at six championship rings with the Chicago Bulls:

Jennings has a case making the argument that Jordan had the better supporting cast that helped propel him to six NBA titles while saying Kobe only had Shaquille O’Neal. A few former Lakers like Derek Fisher, Glen Rice, Rick Fox, Robert Horry and Brian Shaw would beg to differ with Jennings’ opinion for the first three titles, but he neglects to mention them.

Also, there’s few other former Lakers that might perk up after hearing Jennings’ comments on Twitter. Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom might have something to say about Jennings giving Kobe the majority of the credit the last two titles won by the Lakers.

The comparison between Kobe and Jordan will go on forever. And unfortunately for die hard Kobe and Jordan fans, LeBron James could continue making a case to jump into the debate with a few more titles of his own.

Although many give the edge to Jordan simply due total of championships won, six to five, Kobe’s resume will always spark debate over who was the greatest between these two.

Regardless of the difference in titles won, Jennings seems convinced:

With two more years left wearing purple and gold, Kobe has an opportunity to equal or surpass Jordan’s total of six rings. Unfortunately, the supporting cast will be Kobe’s biggest problem this time around with a current roster that many feel is mediocre and quite possibly the worst in the Western Conference heading into next season.

If Kobe can rally his troops and put together another title run or two, the future Hall of Famer will have a strong case at gaining ground on Jordan. In the meantime, the debate will go on with Jordan continuing to tilt the scales with a sixth ring weighing heavily in his favor.
