Jordan Hill was expected to leave the Lakers after a season in which his playing time fluctuated. But things have changed as Hill will remain with the Lakers according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski:

Free agent forward Jordan Hill has agreed to a two-year, $18M deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers, agent Kevin Bradbury tells Yahoo.

The Lakers were in dire need of size so keeping Hill makes sense. The price may be a little steep, but he knows the Lakers, and the team keeps financial flexibility for 2016.

Hill was a fan favorite last season as he provided rebounding and energy for the Lakers in the best season of his career. Dirty work guys are hard to come by and Hill is one of the best.

His presence will also help first-round pick Julius Randle as he will make sure that Randle plays hard on every play and works his butt off at all times.

The Lakers have been extremely busy today after being silent since free agency began. After LeBron James made his decision to go to Cleveland, all of the other dominoes began to fall.

Jeremy Lin was acquired in a trade with the Houston Rockets, not long after, Nick Young agreed to stay with a four-year deal, and now Hill stays as well.

The Lakers are building a team, and still have a ways to go. But it is good to see some things finally begin to come together.
