Byron Scott Discusses Kobe’s Work Ethic With Julius Randle

A player’s work ethic is what makes or breaks him as he develops in the NBA. Every player has talent, but if the player’s work ethic isn’t up to par, they will never become as good as they can be.

Julius Randle’s talent is undeniable, but he still has a long way to go as far as refining his game so he can be a consistent contributor. He has a high ceiling, and according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Byron Scott spoke to Randle about what it will take to realize that potential:

Bryant’s work ethic is the stuff of legends. Very few players in the history of the NBA have been able to match the time that Kobe has spent in the gym fine-tuning his game and perfecting his craft.

Randle grew up idolizing Kobe Bryant and now he has the chance to learn from his favorite childhood player. While Kobe will surely teach him specifics as far as on the court, but Randle being able to witness Kobe’s practice habits and day-to-day work ethic will make more difference in his career than anything else.
