Jeremy Lin was one of the biggest acquisitions of the Los Angeles Lakers’ off-season as they acquired him from the Houston Rockets to help out their point guard situation. When Steve Nash was ruled out for the season, it gave Lin an excellent opportunity to showcase his skills.

Unfortunately, this season has not gone the way Lin or anyone else expected and according to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Byron Scott believes that Lin hasn’t been great:

Byron Scott on Jeremy Lin: "I don't think he's been great. I think he's been OK. But I don't think he's been terrible, either."

— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) January 17, 2015

Scott also spoke on the main difference between Lin and Ronnie Price being toughness:

Byron on if Lin is tough: "You are who you are. I’m not saying he’s soft or anything like that. But Ronnie Price is a tough kid, period."

While Lin coming in was a big deal and Price’s signing an afterthought, it has been the latter who has gained the favor of Scott. Though Lin is the better offensive player, Price’s ability to set the tone on the defensive end has placed him ahead of Lin on the depth chart.

Lin himself has admitted that he is disappointed with his performance this season. However, the season is only halfway through, and there is still plenty of time for Lin to turn things around in this contract year.
