It was a rough season for head coach Byron Scott. In in his first year with the team, the Los Angeles Lakers finished with the worst winning percentage in franchise history.

While the season didn’t go according to plan, there were still some positives to come out in Scott’s first season. At his exit interview on Thursday, Scott says he wants to see progress this off-season according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:

Heading into the season, all the attention was on Kobe Bryant. However, the superstar suffered another season-ending injury and the focus shifted to evaluating the roster. While the Lakers suffered their worst win percentage in franchise history, rookies Jordan Clarkson and Tarik Black were bright spots.
For the Lakers, they will be armed with potentially three draft picks and ample cap space. Although patience is wearing thin, the Lakers are committed to rebuilding themselves the right way in hopes of becoming championship contenders for numerous seasons.
