Byron Scott Says ‘Patience Is Running Thin’ With Lakers Performance

Many experts assumed the Los Angeles Lakers would struggle this season, especially with their brutal opening schedule. However, after an awful performance against the Golden State Warriors, head coach Byron Scott was clearly unhappy.

According to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Scott said that his patience was running thin and is close to making lineup changes:

Scott spoke about the team’s effort, especially on the defensive end, saying he wasn’t worried about the offense according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Scott’s calling card is his defense and it is all he talked about when he was hired. After giving up 134 points in tonight’s game, he was angry and he had a reason to be.

It is also important to note that he may be considering some lineup changes soon. Many fans have been calling for Ed Davis to be inserted into the starting lineup. The return of Nick Young also brings up the possibility that he could replace Wesley Johnson at the small forward position.

The Lakers have a lot of changes that need to be made as they sit at 1-9 to start this season. Whatever Scott decides to do, he has to do it soon before this season becomes a lost cause before it ever really gets going.
