Byron Scott ‘Very Disappointed’ In Lakers Celebration After Celtics Win

On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers won their first game in more than three weeks as the team defeated their rival Boston Celtics in overtime. The players were very happy after an exciting win and video of Jordan Hill, Nick Young, and Carlos Boozer crashing Jeremy Lin’s post-game interview has gone viral.

Kobe Bryant expressed his disappointment with the video while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, head coach Byron Scott was similarly unimpressed:

Byron Scott says he saw his team's reaction to the win over Boston for the first time on Kimmel last night, said he was "very disappointed."

Kobe and Scott are old-school Lakers who are used to celebrating championship victories, not regular season ones. Their disappointment at the reaction of the Lakers players is understandable because that is not the Lakers franchise that they have come up in.

The players joy in the victory, however, is also understandable. The Lakers had won only one game since January 9 and only three times since the calendar flipped to 2015. With so many close calls, the guys probably felt relieved to finally come through, especially at home against a hated rival.

Despite the reactions, it is good that the players are still able to have fun and enjoy being around each other. When a team loses as much as the Lakers have, the attitudes of the players can really turn sour, but these Lakers are still trying to stay positive despite the disappointing season.
