Carmelo Anthony is one of the best players in the NBA, and is an offensive scoring machine.  Anthony is capable of scoring 40 points and can take over and win a game single-handedly.   However, it is rumored that the Syracuse alum wants out of Denver; trade scenarios have been surfacing all summer long and have involved teams like the Nets, Rockets and Knicks.  The New Jersey Nets were on the verge of acquiring the all-star in a multi-team trade, but that deal quickly died out.   It has been reported that the team across the Hudson River, the New York Knicks, have made significant progress in the past couple days  to acquire Carmelo Anthony.  A ‘Melo and Amare Stoudemire duo looks very nice on paper.
