The 2026-27 regular season schedule for the Los Angeles Lakers’ G League affiliate, the Coachella Valley Lakers has officially been released. Previously known as the South Bay Lakers, the franchise has rebranded their G League squad and moved the operations to Coachella Valley, where they will now call Acrisure Arena home.
Last year was an excellent season as they finished with the best record in the Western Conference and advanced to the Conference Finals where they were eliminated by the Stockton Kings.
The Lakers have always done an excellent job at utilizing their G League affiliate to develop players and give their young guys some needed reps. This season will be no different with team having some promising players on two-way contracts in Chris Mañon, AK Okereke and Summer League standout Arthur Kaluma. Additionally, rookie Cameron Carr could also make some appearances if he is unable to crack the Lakers rotation, so there are plenty of reasons to tune in.
Who will be coaching the Coachella Valley Lakers remains to be seen after Zach Guthrie earned a promotion to the parent team this offseason, although that announcement should come before the start of training camp.
To open up this new era in Coachella Valley, the Lakers will host the Salt Lake City Stars on Friday, Nov. 6. They will play 24 games at Acrisure Arena this season.
All home weeknight games will begin at 7 p.m. PT, while Sunday games will be at 3 p.m. PT.
