De’Aaron Fox is considered by most to be a top-5 prospect in the 2017 NBA Draft. He is extremely fast, a great defender, and plays hard every single night.

The biggest concern surrounding Fox however, is his jump shot. He shot only 24.6 percent from three-point range in his lone season at Kentucky, an alarming number during this era of pace-and-space basketball.

The Los Angeles Lakers worked Fox out on Tuesday, and afterwards Fox spoke about wanting to show he can shoot the ball better than he showed in college according to Chris McGee of Spectrum SportsNet:

Fox is believed to be an extremely hard worker and he says that he has been working hard on that jump shot ever since he declared for the draft via Spectrum SportsNet’s Mike Bresnahan:

If Fox is able to improve his jump shot he would likely move up many team’s draft boards. With his blazing speed and outstanding athleticism, he would be very difficult to stop on offense if he was a consistent three-point shooter. Fox himself knows that which is why he’s working so hard to improve it.

With the draft just over a week away, there is still no feeling on who the Lakers are favoring with the second overall pick. The team is bringing in Josh Jackson for a second workout, and many still consider Lonzo Ball the favorite to land in Los Angeles.

The Lakers will also be meeting with Markelle Fultz, who many consider the top overall prospect in the draft.

It looks as if everyone will remain in the dark on who the Lakers will ultimately take until the time comes to make the selection on June 22.
