We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. So for those of you that are currently in a league, and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.
Point Guards
Kendall Marshall – Marshall has made the most of his opportunities as the starting point guard in Los Angeles. He’s had at least 15 assists in two consecutive starts, and while he may not be a viable scoring option, he certainly is a solid contributor in assists.
Trending up: Darren Collison, Jarrett Jack
Trending down: Chris Paul
Shooting Guards
Gerald Green – Eric Bledsoe is expected to miss another week due to injuries, which means that Green will fill in as the starter at that shooting guard position. He’s been a legit scorer when given the opportunity, as he’s reached the 20 point mark in two of his last three games.
Iman Shumpert – It seems as if Shumpert may have finally caught his stride. He’s scored at least 25 points in two of his last three games and is worth a look if your team needs help at either guard position.
Trending up: C.J Miles, Tony Wroten
Trending down: Marco Belinelli
Small Forwards
Chris Douglas-Roberts – CDR was recently added to the Bobcats starting lineup after a 20 point output off the bench. He’s a guy that’s definitely worth a grab if he remains a starter.
Terrence Ross – Over his last five games, he’s averaging 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.2 three-pointers. If he’s available in your league, I advise you to go get him now!
Trending up: Nick Young, Earl Clark
Trending down: Matt Barnes
Power Forwards
Al-Farouq Aminu – The unfortunate injury of Ryan Anderson opens up the opportunity for Aminu to get some significant minutes. It’s not known how long Anderson will be out, but we know that when given time, Aminu is a solid contributor in rebounds, steals, and blocks.
Kris Humphries – He’s gotten double-digit rebounds in three of his last four games, and is averaging two blocks per game in that stretch as well.
Trending up: Trevor Booker, Channing Frye
Trending down: Jason Thompson
Centers
Enes Kanter – He’s picked it up over his last five games — averaging 11.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks. He’s worth a stash in deeper leagues if you’re lacking big man depth on your fantasy roster.
Trending up: Larry Sanders, Anderson Varejao
Trending down: Andrew Bogut
