We here at Lakers Nation know that Fantasy Basketball is a huge part of the culture in being a fan of the NBA. For those of you that are currently in a league and looking for some ways to improve your team, we’ve put together a list of players you should consider picking up this week to make your team that much better.
Point Guards
Kendall Marshall – The D-League sensation has gotten five straight double-doubles and is a monster in the assists category. He’ll be getting consistent minutes for the foreseeable future, so pick him up if he’s available.
Darren Collison – Coming into this week, Collison was averaging 14.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.8 assists and a 3-pointer per game over his last five. With Chris Paul out for an extended period of time, he’s a must-get.
Trending up: Brian Roberts, D.J. Augustin
Trending down: Avery Bradley
Shooting Guards
Courtney Lee – Since being traded to Memphis, he’s been going on a tear at that starting shooting guard spot. Over his last five games, he’s averaged 14.6 points, 3.4 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers on 52 percent shooting.
Randy Foye – Foye has scored in double figures over his last eleven games and has been very consistent. He’s climbing high on the fantasy radar, so grab him if you can.
Trending up: Jodie Meeks, Luke Ridnour
Trending down: Tony Allen
Small Forward
Gerald Green – Eric Bledsoe is expected to be out indefinitely due to another knee injury, which means that Green will fill-in as the starter at that guard/forward position. He’s been a legit scorer when given the opportunity, so make sure you grab him if he’s available.
James Johnson – He’s been splitting minutes with Tayshaun Prince at that small forward position lately and could wind up starting if his play continues to improve.
Trending up: Paul Pierce, Matt Barnes
Trending down: Tayshaun Prince
Power Forward
Terrence Jones – He’s been an absolute beast, going off for 36 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday. He is averaging 21.6 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.0 blocks on 58 percent shooting over his last five. If he’s available in your league, he’s worth stashing for depth.
Channing Frye – He’s been the primary power forward in Phoenix and he’s making the most of his opportunity recently by averaging 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five games.
Trending up: DeMarre Carroll

Robin Lopez – Lopez is a big man that doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves. He’s been by far one of the most consistent big men in fantasy basketball, and is worth a pick up.

Trending down: Jordan Hill
