For Kobe Bryant, the Chase Continues

In a day that has already been packed with news regarding the Los Angeles Lakers, Yahoo! Sports released another intriguing article discussing comments towards shooting guard Kobe Bryant from legendary player Michael Jordan.

When asked about Bryant’s place in history, Jordan said that he felt Bryant was a Top 10 player. That came as quite a shock to much of the basketball world, as many see Bryant at a much higher place in the basketball hierarchy. However, should we really be surprised that Jordan made these comments?

Just like Bryant, Jordan is the type of individual that never wants to admit anyone is better than him. Was anybody surprised when Bryant claimed he could beat LeBron James in a game of one-on-one? Of course not. That’s what makes players like Jordan and Bryant truly unique, a never-ending desire to be the best. These two are truly cut from the same cloth, even if neither one will admit it.
