Clippers guard and reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford didn’t go quite that far, but in an interview with The Sports Quotient, he had a simple answer to the most difficult player to guard in the NBA:

BE: Toughest NBA player to guard?
JC: Kobe. He’s a machine.

Despite the respect and admiration Kobe receives from his peers, there are still a number of people who criticize him. To those people, Crawford only has three words:

BE: What do you say to Kobe critics?
JC: He has 5.

Being in the NBA since 2000, Crawford has seen the evolution of Kobe Bryant that most other players haven’t. From the young, athletic phenom to the cold, calculating finisher, Crawford has seen first-hand how great Kobe is.

With Kobe set to make his return this season, many players are expecting Kobe to prove a lot of doubters wrong. For Crawford, he will get to see it up close very early as the Lakers and Clippers meet on the first Friday of the regular season.
