Jeremy Lin: ‘I Feel Like We Are Growing Up As A Team’

The Los Angeles Lakers finally snapped their nine game losing streak with a big win over the Chicago Bulls in double-overtime. In Pau Gasol’s first time playing the Lakers at Staples Center, the purple and gold found a way to steal a victory without Nick Young and Kobe Bryant.

Los Angeles pulled away in the final five minutes behind 26 points from Jordan Hill, and the team walked away with a 123-118 victory. The Lakers had six players in double-figures and with that type of balance, the Lakers are a tough squad to beat. After the game, Jeremy Lin spoke to the media and talked about the improvements the Lakers have made, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Now that Bryant is out for the season, there isn’t much the Lakers have to look forward to. Many people did not expect the Lakers to compete against the Bulls, but the emotions of the night guided the Lakers to a win. Pau Gasol had a solid 20 points and 10 rebounds in his return to Staples, but the Lakers had the last laugh with the double overtime victory.

The Lakers will be off until Sunday when they make their lone visit to Madison Square Garden. Although both of these historical franchises are currently struggling, there is nothing like seeing the Lakers in the World’s Most Famous Arena.
