At this point in time, the Los Angeles Lakers have everyone on the team signed for next season with the exception of rookie point guard Jordan Clarkson.

Although Clarkson has yet to be officially signed, the team intends to get his rookie contract signed before training camp, according to Eric Pincus of the L.A. Times:

Rookie guard Jordan Clarkson (46th overall pick in the draft) is expected to sign before training camp.

The Missouri standout was acquired by the Lakers in the 2014 NBA draft with the 46th pick. The Washington Wizards originally had the pick and agreed to send it to Los Angeles in exchange for cash.

After drafting Julius Randle out of Kentucky with the seventh overall pick, the Lakers were intent on purchasing another pick. Clarkson was a steal at 46 with the team upgrading the point guard and power forward positions on the same night.

Recently, new head coach Byron Scott said that Clarkson will be considered a guard with the ability to play both positions in the backcourt. With that being said, the rookie could play some considerable minutes in his first year with the team.

As of right now, Jeremy Lin and Steve Nash are expected to be atop the depth chart at point guard. Clarkson could see more minutes at the point if Nash continues to deal with injury problems.

At shooting guard, Kobe Bryant will lead the way as usual with Nick Young and Xavier Henry potentially receiving time at the position along with Clarkson.
