Speaking for the first time since having surgery that is expected to keep him out for the rest of the season, Randle said that he is motivated more than anything according to the Lakers official Twitter page:

When a rookie experiences a major injury like Randle did, it can be easy to get down on yourself. But according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, Randle said that Kobe Bryant helped him get past that quickly:

Despite having to miss his rookie season, Randle is still a major part of the Lakers’ plans going forward. In fact, he is one of only two players under contract in 2016, joining Nick Young.

He showed flashes of his immense talent and being only 19 years old, he should be able to make a full recovery from this injury. Hopefully Randle will put everything towards getting back on the court and realizing his full potential. He will surely have the full support of the Lakers while doing so.
