In the Los Angeles Lakers’ season opener against the Houston Rockets, Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard were involved in an altercation when the former Laker swung his elbows repeatedly and eventually connected with the five-time champion. Following the incident, Kobe was seen calling his former teammate “soft” during the officials’ review and later called him a teddy bear.

Playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night, Kevin Durant reportedly had some words for Howard according to Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman:
Lotta chirping between Thunder and Rockets right now. Kevin Durant repeatedly to Dwight Howard: “You’re a p—-“
While this is what Durant reportedly said to Howard, numerous players have taken their fair shots at the All-Star center throughout his career. A couple seasons ago, Kevin Garnett reportedly told him to “paint your face, clown” during the playoffs and many have questioned if he can win a championship with his mentality.
Although the Lakers are off to a 1-9 start and in a rebuilding mode, it worked out for both sides. Howard recently had a documentary released about him where he spoke about his relationship with Kobe before and during their time together in Los Angeles.
