According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Garnett might be on the verge of waiving his no-trade clause to return to Minnesota:

After 12 seasons in Minnesota, Garnett was sent to the Boston Celtics in a blockbuster trade that sent shockwaves throughout the NBA. Garnett joined forces with Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo.

As a result of the Garnett deal, the Celtics became relevant once again and went on to win an NBA title in 2008. Boston returned to the NBA Finals in 2010 only to lose to Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers in seven games.

With Garnett potentially heading back to Minnesota, the Nets may receive Thaddeus Young in return for the one-time NBA champion. Young has been on the trading block for the last few weeks with the Timberwolves adamant about trying to get a deal done.
