Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard Named to Western Conference All-Star Team

For the second consecutive season the Lakers had two players named to the starting lineup of the Western Conference All-Stars. Kobe Bryant will be making his 15th All-Star appearance, while Dwight Howard will be a member of the Western Conference All-Star team for the first time in his career after spending six All-Star games on the Eastern Conference squad.

Bryant was the highest vote-getter for the Western Conference, and tied Shaquille O’Neal with 15 All-Star appearances.

For the second straight season the Lakers will have the starting SG and the starting C for the Western Conference, with Howard replacing Andrew Bynum from a year ago.
