The Los Angeles Lakers came into the matchup with the bitter rival Boston Celtics on Friday night with high hopes of winning a sixth game on the season. Although Boston has struggled in the same fashion in comparison to the Lakers, Rajon Rondo and company dominated Byron Scott’s squad at TD Garden.

After suffering a second straight loss on the road, Scott let it be known that changes will be made to the starting lineup. Bryant was asked about the upcoming changes and said the following about his coach making the move, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

With the Lakers winning only five games in the first 20 played this season, changes were bound to be made. Scott promised these changes after seeing how things came together for this team and the loss to Boston seemed to be the tipping point for the new Lakers Coach.

The Lakers will head back to Los Angeles after concluding the three-game road trip on Friday night and will prepare to take on Anthony Davis’ New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday at the Staples Center.

It’ll be interesting to see what changes will be made heading into Sunday night’s game. Jeremy Lin, Wesley Johnson and Carlos Boozer could be headed to the second unit, but Scott has yet to disclose who’ll be starting against the Pelicans.
