After the worst win percentage in franchise history last season, the Los Angeles Lakers made numerous changes to their roster highlighted by D’Angelo Russell and Roy Hibbert. With a nice mix of veterans and young prospects, the Lakers were expected to be more competitive.

Through the first four games of the 2015-16 NBA season, the Lakers are winless and Kobe Bryant’s struggles have been magnified. While Kobe is averaging 15.8 points, he is only shooting 32 percent from the field. Following the loss to the Denver Nuggets last night, Kobe had a message to Lakers fans according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes:

What would Kobe Bryant tell Lakers fans who are concerned after the team's 0-4 start? "Just freak out," he said. "It’s good for the soul."

— Baxter Holmes (@Baxter) November 4, 2015

With the Lakers adding more talent during the off-season, there is excitement surrounding the young core of D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson. While Randle and Clarkson are playing well, Russell is still learning his role, but has made progress with every game.

After playing four teams that will likely not make the playoffs, the Lakers will now begin a five-game road trip on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets. After the Nets, the Lakers will play the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and Dallas Mavericks.
