Kobe Tweets Photo Before Having Surgery On Torn Achilles Tendon

kobe-bryant-lakers-surgeryLakers Nation and Lakers fans are still reeling from witnessing Kobe Bryant going down (multiple times) in the game on Friday with an injury to his Achilles tendon.

Everyone knew the news was going to be bad, and earlier today Gary Vitti confirmed that Kobe completely ruptured his Achilles last night.

Kobe’s timetable has been set for six to nine months. He is currently undergoing surgery to repair his totally ruptrured tendon, in which he tweeted a photo (shown above) of recently. Kobe joined Instagram earlier today, which you can follow him here.

Following today’s surgery, Kobe will begin a challenging recovery process. However, with Kobe’s determination and will, the Mamba will attack this challenge head on. In fact, according to Vitti and the Lakers, the plan is for Kobe to be ready to suit up by next season’s opener.
