The Los Angeles Lakers continued their annual “Season of Giving” tradition this season, with the help of D’Angelo Russell, Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson during the week of Thanksgiving.
In their first event, presented by East West Bank, Clarkson, Young and the Laker Girls served Thanksgiving dinner to over 300 guests at the LA Fire Department’s Hotchkin Memorial Training Center in Elysian Park.
In their second event, rookie D’Angelo Russell, the Laker Girls and East West Bank donated and distributed Thanksgiving turkeys and pies to 300 needy families. All guests were invited by the Salvation Army Inglewood Citadel Corps and was a continuation of the Salvation Army Inglewood Citadel Corps’ annual Miracle on Manchester food distribution, which was hurt by budget cutbacks this year.
