Every three pointer the Lakers make in their home game against the Utah Jazz on Monday night will have a little extra incentive. The Lakers have pledged to donate $500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for every three pointer made during the course of the game, with a minimum donation of $5,000.

According to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Pretty cool thing the @LakersCommunity is doing tonight. It's Wish Night With The Lakers!

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) February 12, 2014

The Lakers currently make the fifth most three point shots per game in the NBA, averaging just over nine threes a game. The team is also in the top ten in three point percentage, shooting a respectable 37 percent as a team, and only three other teams attempt more three point shots per game than the Lakers. Point guard Kendall Marshall has helped add to the Lakers hot three point shooting as the leads the league in three point percentage at just a shade under 50 percent.

On top of the team donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Kobe Bryant will meet with two Make a Wish children:

.@kobebryant will also be meeting with two @MakeAWish kids after the game. It's something Kobe loves to do.

Kobe Bryant has been known to be one of the more involved players when it comes to meeting with children who are in need. Kobe and his wife have their own charity, The Kobe and Vanessa Williams Family Foundation, where they work with various Los Angeles foundations to help the improvement of the lives of children in the surrounding area.
