On Wednesday the long awaited Los Angeles Lakers workout of UCLA product Lonzo Ball took place at the Lakers practice facility in EL Segundo. Lonzo and his father LaVar Ball have both stated their desire for him to play for the Lakers, as Lonzo said that he would rather be drafted by the Lakers than go No. 1 overall, and LaVar said that he is going to “speak it into existence.”
Because of the desire for his son to play for the Lakers, LaVar said after the NBA Draft Lottery that Lonzo would only workout for them. However with recent reports suggesting Ball is no lock to land with the Lakers, Lonzo has reportedly considered working out for other teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers.
No workout has been scheduled with the 76ers or any other team though and after his workout with the Lakers, Lonzo said that he will leave that up to his agent, via Lakers Nation reporter Ryan Ward:

If the Lakers do in fact pass on Ball, then team’s likely would not shy away from him just because he didn’t workout for them as scouts saw him play 36 games this past season at UCLA.
Lonzo still believes Los Angeles is the best place for him to play though as that is where he grew up and he can become a leader of the Lakers young core of players. Lonzo and everyone else will need to wait until June 22, the date of the 2017 NBA Draft, to see where he winds up.
