Lakers Draft Workouts: Connaughton, Randle, Thomas, Staten, Kravish

Day 6 - collage(1)The Los Angeles Lakers continued with their pre-draft workouts on Friday morning, bringing in Pat Connaughton, Chasson Randle, TaShawn Thomas, Juwan Staten, David Kravish and D’Angelo Harrison.

Connaughton caught eyes at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago when he recorded a 44.0 inch max vertical leap, tying Shane Larkin for the second-highest mark recorded at the event. The 6’4″ shooting guard out of Notre Dame put together an impressive four-year career as a dual sports athlete in both baseball and basketball.

Harrison, 6’4″ shooting guard, played all four years at St. John’s, averaging 17.4 points per game in his college career, garnering First Team All-Big East honors as a senior.

Randle, played all four years of his college career at Stanford. The 6’0 1/4″ point guard had a standout senior season, receiving several honors including Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American, All-Pac-12 First Team, Capital One Academic All-American First Team selection, Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Pac-12 All-Academic First Team.

Staten played his first year of college basketball at Dayton before heading to West Virgina to play his final three seasons. The 6’1″ point guard received All-Big 12 First Team honors as a senior.

Thomas spent his first three seasons at Houston before heading to Oklahoma for his final season. In his final season, the 6’7 1/4″ point forward received Big 12 Newcomer of the Year honors.

Kravish, 6’10” point forward was a four-year starter at Cal, becoming the Golden Bears all-time blocks leader with 226. He is the only Golden Bear in school history with 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, and 200 blocks.
