The Lakers are expected to have only nine healthy bodies available for their game against the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night. Injuries have been a constant nag for the Lakers this season as they have simply not been able to get healthy.

Pau Gasol has been suffering from vertigo, which has forced him out of action for the past seven of eight games.

According to ESPN writer Dave McMenamin, Gasol participated in some workouts today but is still doubtful to play:

D'Antoni said Pau worked out today: "He'll play if he can … He still has to be medically cleared"

Gasol attempted a comeback early last week but suffered recurring symptoms of vertigo after the game. Gasol has easily been the Lakers best player this season averaging 17 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. The Lakers could sorely use Gasol in the middle as fellow big man Chris Kaman is also out with a strained calf muscle.

Although Nash was able to play last game and subsequently pass Mark Jackson to become third on the all time NBA assists list, he suffered yet another setback with his nerve issues. Despite feeling better today, Nash is also doubtful for tomorrow’s game, via McMenamin:

D'Antoni says Nash is feeling a lot better, but is doubtful for the Warriors game.

With only four games left, the Lakers will continue to limp toward the finish line. At this point, it makes more sense to rest players like Gasol and Nash to let them heal for next season. This gives players like Robert Sacre and Ryan Kelly the chance to continue their development, while unintentionally helping the team position for a higher draft pick.

As always, expect the Lakers to fight against the Warriors tomorrow night but ultimately fall short as the injuries continue to take a toll.
