Lakers Injury News: Xavier Henry To Be Re-Evaluated Tuesday

xavier henryInjuries continue to be a major problem for the Los Angeles Lakers this season with this team seemingly unable to stay healthy from week to week. Even though there’s plenty of players on the shelf right now, one of the key players in the backcourt might be back on the floor this week.

First-year Laker Xavier Henry will be re-evaluated on Tuesday for a bone bruise in his right knee, an injury he suffered last month in the loss to Philadelphia 76ers according to Bill Oram on OC Register via Twitter:

Henry returning this week would give the Lakers a boost in the backcourt, but it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be back after the re-evaluation on Tuesday.

As for the rest of the injured Lakers, head coach Mike D’Antoni hopes to have Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash back in the lineup on Jan. 28 against the visiting Indiana Pacers.

Although Bryant and Nash will hopefully be back at the end of the month, Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake are still out without an exact date set for their return, but Pau Gasol might be out for awhile now too with an injured left foot.
