Lakers Injury Update: Nash Will Play, Blake Game-Time Decision
[new_royalslider id=”135″]

After a bizarre victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking to finish their road trip on a high note against the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. While all three point guards have returned for the Lakers, the team is taking it slow as they are giving each player at least a game off to rest and hopefully avoid any further setbacks.

After finishing the game with 21 points and 8 assists on Wednesday, Jordan Farmar will not be playing tonight. While there were concerns he re-injured himself late in the game, Farmar was fortunately only dealing with cramps.

With Farmar out, Steve Nash will be playing on his 40th birthday while Steve Blake is a game-time decision with a bruised thigh via Los Angeles Times’ Mike Bresnahan:

While the three point guards returned, the injuries have continued to pile on as Nick Young will be out for at least two weeks with a knee fracture and Jodie Meeks out for tonight’s game.

With only eight healthy players, the team decided to re-sign forward Shawne Williams to a 10-day contract.

With the Lakers looking to return home with a successful 2-1 road trip, they can only hope that there aren’t any more injuries and have enough players to finish the game tonight.
