Shootaround Report: Lakers Look To Start Home Stand With A Win

Losing to the Utah Jazz, a team that is at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, was not something the Lakers took lightly. Tonight, the Lakers are back at home and will be taking on the Philadelphia 76ers who are currently sitting just above last place in the Eastern Conference standings. The 76ers have been unsuccessful on the road to say the least, having only won one of their road games so far this season.

The Lakers will once again be without Pau Gasol, who continues to be suffering from an upper-respiratory infection, for the second consecutive game. Chris Kaman, who suffered an ankle injury in the loss against the Utah Jazz, is a game-time decision, but is expected to be available tonight. With both big men dealing with injuries, Jordan Hill is likely to start at center, making it the 16th different starting lineup Mike D’Antoni has used this season. The Lakers can snap their season-high four game losing streak with a win tonight, and improve their home record to 8-7.

If Kaman can't go, Jordan Hill would start at center with Farmar, Meeks, Johnson and Williams.

With Bynum, it isn't a matter of whether he is talented. That's been proven. He's shown, unless he actually wants to play, he won't.
