The Los Angeles Lakers saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end on Monday night in a three-point loss to the Detroit Pistons. Even though they came up short, Luka Doncic again led the way offensively as he had throughout the streak.
He finished with 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in the loss, but with that performance still did something never done before. According to Kalshi, the Lakers superstar became the first player in NBA history to put up the numbers he did over a 10-game stretch:
Luka Doncic is the 1st Player in NBA History to record the following numbers in any 10-game stretch:
• 390+ PTS
• 80+ REB
• 70+ AST
• 25+ STL10% chance to win MVP on Kalshi. pic.twitter.com/HKMGyavM9F

Doncic’s numbers are just ridiculous over the stretch as he averaged 39.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.6 steals while shooting 47.8% from the field and 38.7% from 3-point range. It is a testament to Doncic’s all-around game as he is just affecting things on every level and the result has been the Lakers’ best period of the season.
Doncic scored at least 30 points in all 10 contests, including two 40-point nights, a 50-point game and, of course, his 60-point effort in Miami. He also recorded two triple-doubles over this stretch and had multiple steals in eight of the 10 games while being named Western Conference Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks. And in all likelihood a Western Conference Player of the Month award is likely to be headed his way as well.
There are very few players capable of reaching the level that Doncic has been at over the past couple of weeks and it has vaulted him into the MVP conversation and the Lakers into the third seed in the West. Doncic is continuing to prove that he is truly one of the best basketball players on the face of the earth, and someone capable of leading the Lakers to the top of the NBA.
Luka Doncic most unguardable player in the NBA?
Everyone has taken notice of Doncic of late and that includes some of the greatest players in the history of the league. Lakers legend Magic Johnson, widely considered the best point guard of all-time, recently took to social media calling Doncic the most unguardable player in the NBA today.
