The new-look Los Angeles Lakers lost their first game of the 2012-13 NBA season last night falling to the Dallas Mavericks at the Staples Center, 99-91. 

In the aftermath of the first loss of the season, the Lakers franchise has taken a lot of heat for losing to a seemingly inferior Mavericks squad without starters Chris Kaman and Dirk Nowitzki.
