Lakers Nation Photos Of The Week: March 9 – March 16

The Lakers wrapped up their week going 1-2 in the past seven days. Their one victory came against the Oklahoma City Thunder this past Sunday in Los Angeles, behind a career-high effort on Jodie Meeks’ part. Meeks scored 42 points in a surprising 114-110 Lakers victory. The Lakers dropped their road games against the two best teams in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.

The week also delivered some news that many Laker fans had anticipated, that guard Kobe Bryant would be shutdown for the remainder of the season. Bryant, will now have seven months to work his way back to full strength for the start of the 2014-2015 season. The Lakers schedule doesn’t get any easier going forward. The team will face the San Antonio Spurs this Wednesday and host the Wizards this Friday. The Spurs currently own the league’s best record at 49-16.
