Lakers Nation Video: Who is Team Forward Earl Clark?

If you watched any of the Lakers game Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs, at one point, you probably caught yourself saying who is Earl Clark? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Even head coach Mike D’Antoni had these words to say about Earl in an interview on Time Warner Cable after the game.

“I look like an idiot for not playing him.”

With Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill all sidelined due to injury, Earl Clark took advantage of his 28 minutes of play in every way possible, managing a double double with a career high 22 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 9 -12 from the field.

If you don’t know much about Earl, here’s some quick notes: He’s from Newark, New Jersey, and has spent three years in the NBA. After playing college basketball at the University of Louisville, he was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the NBA Draft in 2009 (picked 14th overall). He was then traded to the Orlando Magic in 2010 and re-signed in 2011 before the Lakers received him as a throw-in from the Dwight Howard trade.

So let us know what you think about Earl…was he a one hit wonder Wednesday night? Or the Lakers missing piece?  Don’t forget to comment below and click here to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
