The Los Angeles Lakers are once again struggling to reach .500, and with their main stars out with injuries, things are looking bad for the team.

Kobe Bryant is once again sidelined for an extended period of time and the guard will be out for at least four weeks with a knee injury. Pau Gasol, on the other end, is dealing with respiratory problems and he is also being forced to miss some time. The Lakers are now relying on role players to produce like starters and the added pressure is something many of them cannot handle.

It was another news filled week at Lakers Nation and here is a week in review.

Lakers Nation News:

Nick Young believes the Lakers don’t get the same respect as some of the other teams do.

Chris Kaman suffered a sprain ankle against the Jazz.

Kobe Bryant is as determined as ever to return.

Mike D’Antoni is pleased with Ryan Kelly’s improvement.

ESPN will no longer broadcast the Lakers-Rockets game on Jan. 8.

Rumors say the Lakers may pursue Hedo Turkoglu.

Bryant leads all backcourt players in the Western Conference All-Star voting.

LeBron James believes Kobe will return at a high level.

Bryant does not plan on sitting out for the season.

Harrison Barnes said he texted Kobe following his Achilles injury.

Nick Young said playing for the Lakers has changed his outlook on the NBA.
