Denver Nuggets v Los Angeles Lakers - Game 2
The Los Angeles Lakers are in the final stretch of the regular season and they are fighting for their playoff lives on a nightly basis. The Lakers and Utah Jazz are constantly exchanging the eighth and ninth seeds and they will be doing so until the final day of the season. Every game for the Lakers will be a playoff game and they cannot afford to drop any matches moving forward.

The Lakers had a three game week and to the delight of fans everywhere, the team won all three matches. At this point, the Lakers have sole possession of the eight seed in the conference and they are control of their post season destiny.

Once again, it was a hectic week and here is a week in review.

Lakers Nation Game Recaps:

The Los Angeles Lakers opened the week in a game against the Sacramento Kings in Northern California. Even though the Kings have not been playoff contenders for quite some time now, they always play the Lakers well when they come into town. The match was tight throughout the Lakers relied on the heroics of Bryant to once again propel them to victory, 103-98.

Los Angeles returned to Staples Center Tuesday night as it hosted the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks improved greatly over the past few weeks and they were creeping up on the Lakers in the conference standings. It was essentially a must win game for the Lakers and the team responded with one of its best performances of the season.

The Lakers ended the week with a much needed victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are one of the toughest teams in the Western Conference and the Lakers put on a show for the fans in attendance. The game came down the final seconds and thanks to some clutch plays by the Lakers, the team came up on top, 86-84.
