The Los Angeles Lakers were the first team to be officially eliminated from playoff contention and the rest of the season is being played for pride and dignity. This season has been a turbulent one for the Lakers and the injury bug has never left Los Angeles.

The roster is filled with many one-year contracts and thus many of the players are “trying out” for a place with the team next year. Mitch Kupchak and his staff will have a lot of questions to answer over the summer and it starts with what do to with those currently wearing the purple and gold.

Jeanie Buss told reporters that the team will stay with the family.

Phil Jackson officially joined the New York Knicks as President. 

TV ratings for Lakers games has decreased by 50% from last season.
