The Los Angeles Lakers are in a funk. After Monday night’s second half collapse to the Sacramento Kings, the Lakers have now lost seven consecutive games and sit seven games under .500. After starting out the season so well, the Lakers have regressed immensely. Although, some of that can be attributed to the team suffering a rash of injuries.
The Lakers are still not out of the playoff race but need to start putting together some wins if they hope to stay relevant as we enter 2017. One way for the Lakers to jump back into the playoff consideration would be a trade. However, there aren’t many players that are rumored to be on the market.
One of those players, DeMarcus Cousins, told ESPN last week that he does not believe the Kings will trade him this season. Cousins has been constantly named in trade rumors regarding the Lakers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the former Kentucky Wildcat will be joining the purple and gold anytime soon.
