Lakers News: Andrew Bynum, Earl Clark Return To L.A. January 14

Andrew BynumNot too long ago there was argument amongst Lakers Nation as to whether the Lakers should trade Andrew Bynum in a deal for Dwight Howard, or keep Bynum and move forward with the team they had.

Obviously the Lakers chose to get Howard and despite a less than stellar season, followed by Howard bolting for the Houston Rockets, it turned out to be the right move as Bynum never even touched the floor last season as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Now Bynum is with the young, upstart Cleveland Cavaliers and the team is hopeful that he will make an impact for them this season. If all goes to plan, Bynum will be making his Staples Center return on January 14.

Bynum has already rubbed some Laker fans the wrong way with comments he made at his introductory press conference in Cleveland and he will surely draw the ire of Lakers Nation when (if?) he steps on the floor in January.

Making the matchup a little more intriguing is that former Laker Earl Clark also joined the Cavs this off-season and the new coach of these Cleveland Cavaliers is our old friend Mike Brown.

In his last season in Los Angeles, Bynum averaged 18.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks, cementing himself as one of the top big men in the game. But it has been all downhill since for the mercurial Bynum.

The only question at this point is who will boo Bynum louder, Los Angeles or Philadelphia?
