Lakers News: Average Ticket Price For Lakers-Heat Game Is $624

In less than a week, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the two-time defending champion Miami Heat at the Staples Center on Christmas day. While both teams have played numerous times throughout the years, there is still excitement watching two of the best players in the league face each other.

While Kobe Bryant is still working his way back from the Achilles rupture, the average ticket price for the Lakers-Heat game is $624 according to Forbes’ Jesse Lawrence:

“This year, those two teams have the highest average price with the Heat vs. Lakers going for $624 while the Thunder at Knicks have an average price of $248. Lakers fans are clearly much more excited about the game as prices are 152% more expensive than the average price for Lakers home games.”

Although the Lakers are currently 12-13, the franchise remains the most popular team around the world. While they haven’t exactly performed well on Christmas day in recent memory, the Lakers ended their three-game losing streak against the New York Knicks last season.

With the Lakers still finding ways to play with Bryant, it will be interesting to see how they perform against the Heat. While no one expects the Lakers to contend for a championship this season, the Christmas day game will provide a measuring stick against one of the best teams in the NBA.
