The Los Angeles Lakers were not able to keep up with the Los Angeles Clippers as they were blown out on Tuesday night, 103-81. The worst news, however, came in the fourth quarter as Jordan Clarkson had his leg stepped on and would leave the game.
The Lakers have been fortunate to not have many major injuries this season and one to one of their key young players would be the worst case scenario for the final stretch of the season.
Thankfully for the Lakers and Clarkson, it looks as if this is simply a minor injury as his x-rays came back negative and he is probable for the rematch against the Clippers on Wednesday according to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News:
Lakers say Jordan Clarkson had a bruised right fibula and is considered probable for tomorrow vs Clippers

Clarkson has been one of the Lakers most consistent players this season. He currently ranks second on the team in scoring and is the team’s top three-point shooter at over 35 percent from deep.
The Lakers only have five games to go and in addition to paying tribute to Kobe Bryant, keeping the young players healthy and allowing them to grow is the most important thing for this team down the stretch.
Hopefully the Lakers don’t have to go through any more scares of this nature for the rest of the season as injuries have crippled this franchise in recent years and they can ill afford any more heading into this off-season.
