Lakers News: Jordan Hill Suffers Back Injury

Following the Lakers rather embarrassing loss Sunday night to the Golden State Warriors in the pre-season opener, it was announced by the team that reserve big man Jordan Hill suffered a back injury during the game.

According to the team, Hill suffered a herniated disc in his back after being examined by a back specialist. Hill, who scored 10 points on 5-11 shooting in a team high 20 minutes on Sunday night, will be re-evaluated in a week.

Until then, expect to see more of Robert Sacre and Greg Somogyi in the L.A. frontcourt when the team takes on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

This could be trouble for an already depleted Lakers frontline that is still waiting for center Dwight Howard to get back on the court following off-season back surgery.
