After receiving the green light from doctors to ramp up his workouts, Kobe Bryant has wasted no time getting himself back in shape. On Wednesday, Kobe spoke to media members and claimed that he had gotten fat over the summer due to the lack of explosiveness his Achilles and medical restrictions that didn’t allow him to work out.

Today, the Black Mamba gave Laker fans an update via his Twitter account regarding the progress he’s already made in two days of working out.

It still is not known whether or not Bryant will be available for the Lakers first game of the season, but it is safe to assume that Kobe is getting closer to being able to return to the court for basketball-related activities.

He’s been very shy about giving timetables, as he feels that rushing this process wouldn’t be the best thing for him to do if he wants to come back to being the player that he was before the injury.

One thing is for certain; the Black Mamba will work himself until exhaustion, and he’s committed to doing whatever it takes to getting back on the court and helping the Lakers win another championship.
