Lakers News: Lamar Odom In Early Stages Of Physical Therapy
Lamar

Over the past week, there has been major concern for former Los Angeles Lakers champion, Lamar Odom. Before the Lakers took on the Sacramento Kings in Las Vegas on Tuesday, there were reports that Odom was found unconscious at a brothel. While there have been conflicting reports, it appears the former Sixth Man of the Year has made progress.

According to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Odom’s condition has improved and he is in the early stages of physical therapy:

Instead, Odom has shown enough steady improvement in recent days at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center that he has started physical therapy, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.

In addition, Odom has not suffered any setbacks after breathing without the help of a ventilator in the past three days, via Medina:

Odom has not experienced any setbacks after breathing without the help of a ventilator in the past three days. He showing marked improvement with his breathing, vision and the ability to have simple conversations, sources said.

On Friday morning, there was optimism when it was reported Odom woke up from a coma and was able to communicate and breathe on his own. While Odom is not out of the woods yet, being in the early stages of physical therapy is another positive step in the process.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Odom and his family.
