The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the biggest brands in all of sports across the world. This is something that stands out to new Lakers President of Business Operations Lon Rosen, who praised Doncic as a player while noting that he is looking forward to seeing how far the Lakers superstar can reach people globally, via Benjamin Royer of the Southern California News Group:
“Sitting in my Dodger seat?” Rosen said. “I only dream that we would have the reach that the Lakers have. Let’s face it, having Luka Doncic doesn’t hurt at all. I mean, he’s one of the most popular players in the world, and we want to, obviously, you know, jump on his shoulders and see what we can reach out there. I mean, that’s a really unique player. His global reach is everywhere.”
There is no doubt that Doncic has everything that someone in Rosen’s position loves to see. He is one of the best basketball players on earth, is extremely charismatic both on and off the court and just has a natural connection with fans. Add in the already well established brand that the Lakers carry and the possibilities are endless.
Rosen is no stranger to working with international stars either from his time with the Dodgers so he undoubtedly has plenty of things in mind on how he can market Luka and grow his brand even stronger than it already is.
