During the Lakers embarrassing loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, Magic Johnson had a few choice words for his former team. As you may have known, Johnson has been remarkably vocal when discussing his displeasure with the Lakers this season, whether on Twitter, during Los Angeles Dodgers press conferences, and on the ESPN NBA studio show.
Last night, Johnson dropped the most revealing bomb yet.
“It’s over for my Lakers. No playoffs, no nothing.”
That’s encouraging.
Honestly, it’s not Magic’s opinion that means a whole lot to the team right now, but when your former star player who essentially represents all things Lakers has given up, that’s not a remarkably uplifting sign.
Last night it was very evident that the Thunder was the superior team, and if the Lakers want to reach the playoffs they face an enormous uphill battle.
To make matters worse, the team found out on Friday that they will be without reserve big man Jordan Hill for the rest of the season.
