NBA: Playoffs-Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs
The Los Angeles Lakers had a rough Sunday night. The purple and gold lost to the San Antonio Spurs and were swept out of the 2013 postseason as a result. The exhausting season for the Lakers and their fans has finally reached its endpoint, but the busy offseason is about to takeoff.

After the Lakers’ Game 4 loss, Mike D’Antoni took the stage in a postgame conference to share his thoughts and opinions of the Lakers and their performance in this first round series.

Dwight Howard was ejected from the game in the second half after receiving his second technical foul. When asked what he thought about Dwight’s ejection, D’Antoni replied:

D’Antoni on Dwight: “He takes a pounding in there. After a while his nerves were shot. … I’m sure he’s disappointed in himself.”

As for the injured Steve Nash, D’Antoni wasn’t shy of showing his confidence in his longtime point guard.

D’Antoni said he knows that @stevenash will work crazy hard this offseason to come back healthy, show that he has a lot left.

Mike D’Antoni had a message to all Lakers fans, saying:

D’Antoni to Lakers fans: “Hang in there. … This organization has always been the best.”

The Lakers have exited the playoffs very early in each of the last three seasons. A ton of questions will go unanswered for a while in Lakers camp, specifically regarding free agents and use of the amnesty provision.

While the Lakers now have to watch the conclusion of the 2013 playoffs as viewers, the front office will be busy as the offseason begins. There is no rest in between as exit interviews begin on Monday.

  • Yes, her experience and knowledge of the franchise are invaluable.
  • No, it's time for fresh blood and new ideas.
  • It depends on the role she'll play within the organization.
  • I don't care as long as the team performs well.
