Lakers News: Nick Young Won’t Be Suspended; Will Play Against Kings

Los Angeles Lakers vs Miami Heat Roster

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a major blow against the Oklahoma City Thunder with Nick Young being assessed a flagrant two due to an altercation with Steven Adams. Young was thrown out of the game and a suspension was thought to follow.

Fortunately for the Lakers, Young wasn’t suspended by the league for his actions on Friday night against the Thunder, according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:

The Lakers were in control against the Thunder before Young was ejected for the flagrant two on Adams. Once Young was sent to the locker room, the best scoring option outside of Kobe Bryant was no longer available, but Jeremy Lin helped shoulder the load.

On Sunday, the Lakers will face the division rival Sacramento Kings with hopes of snapping a two-game skid. Kobe and company will have their work cut out for them moving forward with the schedule not getting any easier.

After taking on the Kings on Sunday, the Lakers will do battle with arguably the best all-around team in the league on Tuesday at the Staples Center. The Golden State Warriors will come to town sporting the best record (22-3) in the NBA while the Lakers will attempt to bounce back from a devastating loss to Stephen Curry’s squad back on Nov. 16.
