Lakers News: Steve Blake Fined $25k for Inappropriate Language Towards Fan

After the loss to the division rival Los Angeles Clippers last Friday, backup point guard Steve Blake had some nasty words for a heckling fan in the crowd at Staples Center and has been fined by the NBA as result according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports via Twitter:

With a $25,000 hit for some bad language directed towards a fan, it’s safe to say that Blake will likely not make that mistake again.

The added pressure of being thrust into the starting lineup with the leg fracture injury to Steve Nash may have been enough to take Blake over the edge that night after the Lakers lost their third consecutive game.

Blake directed the inappropriate language towards the fan on Friday after fouling out. The veteran point guard finished the game with eight points and two assists in 39 minutes on the floor.
